The BMFA Northern Area kindly assisted by the Pontefract (PANDAS) club are organising a weekend
Fly-In / Trial Flights / SWAPMEET Event
Saturday 31st May & Sunday 1st June 2025

The PANDAS Flying Site (PONTEFRACT RACECOURSE)

BMFA members are invited to come along and fly.
Members of the public are welcome too, to see what we can offer.
‘Trial Flights’ using one of our dual control aircraft.

The event will include:
Fixed Wing including Trial Flights
Helicopter & Multi Rotor Flying
Control Line Flying

SWAPMEET on Sunday Morning (0830 Start)
Gates will open 0800 for the Sunday morning outdoor SWAPMEET (please not before as you will block the road).
NO CHARGE, but please bring your own table.

No pre-entry required, just turn up & fly.
BMFA ‘A’ certificate required to fly solo – ‘B’ Cert for over 7.5 kgs aircraft or turbines.
BMFA Examiners and Instructors available all weekend.
There will be a few ‘Fun-Fly Events’ over the weekend.

Directions: Exit at junction 32 on M62.Take A639 towards Pontefract. Race course is on your right. After 500 metres you will see a pair of white gates on the right. (nearest post code-WF8 4QD). Entrance to the flying site is through these gates.

Food will be available during the day, plus tea / coffee all day.
Ample toilets on site.

If you want any information about how to fly your drone or model aircraft lawfully and what is required, BMFA members will be there to help.
