Breighton Airfield – ‘Model Aircraft Experience Day’ – Saturday 6th September 2025
The BMFA Northern Area are holding a ‘Model Aircraft Experience Day’ at ‘The Real Aeroplane Club’ situated at The Breighton Airfield on Saturday 6th September 2025.

The area held a small event there last year utilising some simulators to help promote the club and our hobby too.
We were asked if we could do something this year and may be expand the event to include some actual model flying.
To that end the BMFA club support officer Andy Symons and area communications officer Martin Lynn have visited the site and we are going to hold the event again this year and expand it to include:
- Model Aircraft Simulator Flying.
- Static Display.
- Trial Flights.
- Display Flights.
The event is open to members of the public and as such the flying will fall under the umbrella of a BMFA display permit. ‘The Real Aeroplane Club’ do make a small entry charge for anyone not involved with the organisation of the event. This gives people full access to the airfield facilities including the café and hangars where there are a number of aircraft on display.

The event starts at 1000 and the display / trial flights will take place between 1200 & 1600. The airfield will be closed to full size aircraft for the 4 hour model aircraft flying period.
