At this meeting we will be giving a Presentation / Talk / Discussion on the latest unmanned aircraft legislation and what the future may hold. We will cover transponders, remote ID, competency arrangements, operator numbers & Flyer ID’s.
If you want the facts and not all the mis-information constantly in circulation on social media please come along.
It is not all doom and gloom as some of the keyboard warriors would have you believe.
An invitation is extended to other clubs, for their members to join us at this event.
We will hold a question and answer session where you can hopefully get the answers to any queries you may have. The speakers will be:
Rob Buckley (PANDAS Member & LMA Secretary)
Rob is the secretary of the Large Model Flying Association (LMA) and is their accountability manager with the CAA. Together with David Phipps (BMFA Chief Executive Officer) he has regular meetings with the CAA to represent model flying clubs.
Adrian Appleyard (PANDAS Member & Commercial Drone Operator)
Adrian is a commercial drone operator and runs a business (Sky Captain) with his son, using drones for commercial photography projects.
Martin Lynn (PANDAS Chairman)
Martin is the PANDAS chairman and is responsible for negotiating the licence agreement with the council to allow PANDAS members to fly in Pontefract Park. Martin is responsible for the risk assessment, obtaining the BMFA permit allowing over 7.5Kgs aircraft to fly above 400 feet including the NOTAM application.
